FBA MEETS “FAMILY BUSINESS CLUB" OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ST. GALLEN

Bocconi Students for Family Business is proud to announce its first official international partnership.

On Friday, 15th of April Bocconi Students for Family Business (BS4FB) welcomed the “Family Business Club at the University of St. Gallen” association. The visit started with an in-company visit at the well-known italian family firm Branca. We had the unique opportunity to be led through the museum and the productive plant of Branca by the Head of Sales Asia-Pacific.

BS4FB chose to visit this company because it represents a bright example of a successful internazionalization process, which eventually led Branca to become popular worldwide, starting as a small Italian business.

After the In-company visit the two associations went out for an informal dinner, enabling the members to know each other personally and create interesting cultural flows.

On saturday morning Bocconi Students For Family Business held a formal meeting with the members of “Family Business Club at the University of St. Gallen”. It was a very significant day for both the associations because they finally signed a strategically important partnership.

The morning started with the presentation of both associations, explaining their everyday work, past results, future goals and aspirations.

After that we had the chance to listen to professor Salvato making an interesting speech about italian family business companies, remarking their importance in the italian economic context.

Finally, the meeting ended up with the cerimony of the signature of the agreement between Bocconi Students For Family Business and the “Family Business Club at the University of St. Gallen” association. This reunion came to be an amazing opportunity for exchanging ideas and causes for reflection. It definitely represents the first step towards a bright future of collaborations.
